This ornate and intricately detailed Viking sword is named in homage to Leif Erikson, son of Erik the Red – the Viking seafarer who sailed to North America and founded Vinland on the shores of Newfoundland. The sword has a wide and well-fullered blade of 1065 high carbon steel which is mounted into the hilt. The sumptuously detailed crossguard and pommel feature entwined Viking knotwork amidst sea serpents other beasts of the great deeps. The wooden grip is bound in leather and finished with three knotwork rings.

The sword is paired with a companion scabbard of black leather with a well-cast Viking knotwork chape. A leather baldric with an adjustable buckle is integrated with the scabbard.
