Good value for money Intro- I bought this spearhead to affix it to a pole that I had left over from a broken rake. I ordered it and I arrived in 4 days time. It is fun to use, and is certainly worthy of being listed as battle ready. It looks just like the picture, which is a plus.
    Good things-
    1) The spear was easy to sharpen due to the softness of the metal
    2) It fit well onto the haft even though the haft doesn’t fill it out completely
    3) Does not snap when bent and is possible to fix by re-bending
    4) Is not too light or too heavy to use in combat and stabs into a foam archery target quite well when thrown or thrusted.
    Bad things-
    1) This is either mild steel, or un-heat treated high carbon steel. It came slightly warped and bends when thrown into wood or other harder targets.
    2) Edge retention is not great due to the softness of the metal.
    3) Came with light pitting.
Overall it is a good buy, being the cheapest battle ready winglance that I could find.
    I would buy it again.

Good DIY bang for your buck spearhead Want a cheap DIY lugged spear? This is the perfect choice. The lugs are great for pulling down shields, and stopping a wild boar from running up your spear.

Great spear for the price. This is a very nice spearhead, well worth the asking price. Not much else to say about it- if you;re thinking about getting this- do it.

It is by no means the best, but it is definitely worth it for 33.75. Ignoring the money, as a spearhead, it’s somewhat lousy.
A few pits, really rough grinding near the wings, the polish is really inconsistent, the inside has a thin coat of rust, the edges aren’t completely deburred, and the body leans/favours one direction, instead of being perfectly straight.

But for the money, it is a really neat thing. I think, if you were looking for a cheap spearhead that would reliably “do the job”, everytime, you can find no better than this.
Despite my complaints above, this was a good purchase.

I am suspicious of the metal, however. 33.75 seems pretty low for this volume of high-carbon steel, however imperfect it is.
