Crafted in the USA by Stephan Lockwood, this Medieval Arming Sword is fitted with a sharp 6150 high carbon steel blade; it was tempered to possess a hardness of 52-53 HRC. The pommel and crossguard are mild steel with a satin finish. The well-formed grip is polar wood wrapped in cord and overlaid with a skin of brown leather.

The wood-core scabbard is tightly fitted over risers and finished with a stitched backing. The chape is steel and scabbard is finished with a fitted and knotted sword belt of robust leather with an adjustable metal buckle. The interior of the scabbard is lined with wool felt to protect the blade. Because of this it is important to draw and sheath the sword with care as catching the felt with the point could potentially pull it out of its glued position and cause it to bunch up within.

Relatively wide at its base and mid-section, this sword is a robust cutting and chopping sword with a tip that is acute enough to deliver a decisive thrust. In the hand it feels quite sturdy and capable.
